Mystery Yarns Week 3

You know the drill!  It’s week 3 of the mystery yarn challenge.

Every week, we’ll post a famous knitted or crocheted good, but here’s the catch.  You JUST get to see the hat/scarf/mittens/woolen bikini.  Leave your best guesses for where it came from in the comments!  Come to the meetings on Sunday nights to find out where the picture’s from.

What were the circumstances of your discovery of Gosh Yarn It!?  One day in first semester I was ambling down the stairs of Carman Hall (it doesn’t get better) and there was a sign for a secret knitting society. I was unable to track them down until a fateful meal with Zachary Storm Wyche and Dr. Adam Henry Barin III, Esq, after which I was initiated into their ranks.

Knitting, crocheting, weaving, sewing, or other?  Knitting, crocheting, eating.

Favourite Colour Yarn: Green!

The best part of Gosh Yarn It! is… bringing these looks back:

If you could name an honorary Gosh Yarner (preferably a Columbia or Barnard alum) it would be… Nikola Tesla

Favorite Quote:

“Yesterday this day’s madness did prepare

Tomorrow’s joy, sorrow, or despair.

Drink! For you know not from whence you came nor why!

Drink! For you know not why you go nor where!”

–Omar Khayyam (1038)

Favorite Fictional Person:  Dr Horrible!

Rank the Following : knitting, crocheting, nutella, queso, \S/uperman, sex, Columbia, beer, bananas, Christopher Nolan

Queso, beer, knitting (can I just combine these three instead?)  nutella, \S/uperman, crocheting, Columbia, bananas, sex, christopher nolan

Make an original yarn/knitting/crocheting related pun:

“Do not give what is hole-y to the dogs;

Nor cast on your purls before swine!”

Yeah. Biblical knitting puns. I went there.

Back Again: Mystery Yarns Week 2
